Hi Birdy, i didn't know their youngs look like these. I haven't seen them or maybe thought they are other organisms than damselflies' immature stages. Do the dragonflies' nymphs look the same?
Thanks Andrea for the feedback. Yes, dragonflies nymphs look almost similar, but are short and fat. They don't have extended feathery gills like damselflies, but have short spines. You can see a dragonfly nymph picture at this post of my blog:
