Wasp Sting Swelling
The home remedies can work a wonder for wasp sting swelling. Traditionally people use a number of things to reduce pain and swelling from wasp sting including toothpaste, baking soda, kerosene oil, onion or garlic juice, vinegar, lemon juice, mud and ice. In the lip sting picture below I asked the victim to apply toothpaste to the sting area and after some time he confirm that it helped in reducing the swelling.

50 Cents a Day
This little guy is a new serving boy at a local cold drinks shop. I didn't ask him about his age , but most probably he is under 12 years of age. I asked him about his working hours and his daily wage. He works from 9:00am to 7:00pm i.e 10 hours a day and gets 40 Pakistani rupees i.e 50 cents a day. 40 Pakistani rupees mean 0.5kg rice (uncooked) or 1.25kg wheat flour or 500ml milk or 4 cups of tea or a cane of Pepsi and that's all.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention
Find this picture while going through my stock photos and decided to share it with you. I took this picture about two months ago while passing through a street here in my home village. For some people this will be a funny picture and for others a serious picture. It represent some aspects of the lives of a nation, who are kept alive just to cast their vote, nothing more, nothing less. I'm happy that at least these kids find out a way to entertain themselves.

Pakistan Flood-affected Children
On 11th September (next day of Eid-ul-fitr) we visited the flood affected families, who reside in different schools of Jahangira and Akora Khattak (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) to distribute our last package of food. We bring food for about 2500 people. In each camp we handover food to camp incharge, so no direct interaction with flood affectees. However in Government Centennial Model High School Akora Khattak we went inside to distribute food. As we enter the school premises, the kids present there rush toward us to shake hand with us. This was unexpected but exciting situation for all of us. According to our tradition on Eid-ul-Fitr children receive money (Eidi) from their elders. So we decided to give some money to children. We line up them for better distribution. I saw hope and happiness on their faces as we handed money to them. Here are some pictures I took at that occasion.

Poverty in Pakistan
The pictures you see here are taken just in front of district headquarter hospital Swabi. This is the hospital disposed materials lies on the main road and the little children are collection disposed syringes and bottles from it. The first child is sitting just near the blood polluted cloth. Imagine, what he is gaining from here?
There are many aspects of these pictures such as cleanliness situation in Swabi, child labor and the transmission of diseases like AIDS and hepatitis B and C from the reuse of disposed syringes.
