Weed Flowers

Here are the flowers pictures of some invasive weeds, which compete with wheat and some other crops and face zero tolerance from the farmers. But from other angle their flower structures and colors are very interesting and beautiful. These weeds must also have some health values for those, who are looking for alternative medicines. Being a photographer, here is my way of admiring their beauty. You are free to admire or disadmire them from your own angle.

Beautiful flowers!

Las plantas invasivas son difíciles de combatir. Algunas de las que has puesto son autóctonas de aquí, como la primera (Veronica persica) y que ahora está también floreciendo.

Amazing blog! The nature lover in me is loving all the fantastic pics. I specially love wild flowers. If it is ok with you, I'd like to identify the ones in this post.

I don't blog much I am afraid. I do have a photography page on Facebook, but it is no where near as good as yours =)

About the weeds here, I know five of them. The last one I am not very certain of. I'll write their name in order

1. Veronica or Persian Speedwell
2. Chickweed
3. Dead Nettle
4. Oxalis Stricta
5. Veronica - a pale pink and white variety.

The last one I think is a Common Centuary, but I cannot say for sure. There are many flowers that fit this description. It is interesting to note that with the exception of the last plant, all are edible and used often in herbal medications.

Any ways, I hope this helps =)
