I found this funny tomato at a local fruit and vegetable vendor today, while buying fruits and vegetables for our daily use. The vendor was kind enough, who let me take it as bonus with other stuff, as I was not buying tomato.
This is a strange one Birdy and I remember seeing one like it many years ago too. :)
I did a search for the citrus or Lemon swallowtail - I see the top part of the wings looks like ours except for that red spot on it but the underside of the wings is very different in colouration. They are both very beautiful though.
Just LOVE the damselfly post. You have once again captured some brilliant pictures of it.
Thanks Joan for being here on my blog. Always love to hear from professional people like you. Not only the butterflies are different, but there is also a difference between the caterpillars.
Funny tomato, indeed! I have also come across something like that before but never thought of photography.... A fun post!
You damselfly images are spectacular. I don't think I've seen this kind here. I haven't photographed many of them this year. I'll be on the lookout...Stunning!
Weird indeed, great find. Even weirder is that the tomato seems to float in the first picture, a great optical illusion. Great idea for a picture on a great blog.

A mutant tomato - well spotted - sometimes fruit and vegetables grow appendages. Cool pictures!
Thanks Zane for the feedback. Sometimes these appendages look very interesting and funny.
