Moss Plants

Mosses are tiny, green colored, non-flowering soft plants that grow close together in clumps or mats in damp places. There are approximately 12,000 species of moss classified in the Division Bryophyta. Mosses produce spore capsules which may appear as beak-like capsules borne aloft on thin stalks.
Mosses may be unwanted and harmful to some gardeners and farmers, but there are gardeners, particularly landscape designers, who use mosses as decoration plants. Personally their green color and carpet like structure always attract my attention.

Nice info, and I think we have those here on the patio. We remove them, but they always come back. Nice close ups. Anna :)

I think moss always looks attractive and there are so many various kinds too. I love the way you captured the spores Birdy.

Thanks Claudia for your comment and appreciation.

Thanks Anna for the feedback. It seems that mosses are headache for you. Anyhow good luck with your mosses removal efforts.

Thanks Joan for the comment and appreciation. I agree with you that mosses are looking attractive, but still headache for many people like Anna.
