Black and Yellow Mud Dauber (Sceliphron caementarium) is a species of wasps in the family Sphecidae. They are solitary wasps that build nests out of mud and that is why they are called mud dauber wasps.

i just found a single cell nest on my lampshade. yes, my lampshade. not sure whether the wasp will return soon or not. i was so curious to find out what kind of wasp it is and what the inside of the nest looks like. this has been REALLY helpful! thank you!!!!!
