This is the first time, I ever saw a papaya plant and green papaya fruit. In our area people don't grow papaya, may be because of our extreme weather. From the top this plant is covered with a plastic sheet to protect it from cold.

Carica papaya), also known as papaw or pawpaw belong to family Caricacea. The Papaya is a tree-like plant, usually without branches, that grows up to 10 meters tall.
