The lovebug (Plecia nearctica) is a member of the family Bibionidae (march flies). It is known by a number of common names including honeymoon fly, kissingbug, or double-headedbug. It is a small, black colored fly with a reddish-orange thorax. The adults feed on nectar during their brief lifespan. The larvae (maggots) feed on decaying plant material.

The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the family Pycnonotidae (bulbul family) in the order Passeriformes (Passerine birds), suborder Passeri. It has a body length of up to 8.5 inches long. It has a dark brown body with a scaly pattern while the head is black. The rump is white while the vent is bright red. The black tail is tipped in white. It is an economically important pest of agricultural crops and gardens. It feeds on fruits, vegetables, nectar and insects.

The Common Chickweed (Stellaria media) is a widespread winter annual plant in the family Caryophyllaceae. It is also called Star Chickweed, Chickenwort, Craches, Maruns, Winterweed, Starweed. It has small (5 to 10 mm) white star-shaped, edible flower. The plant grows in fall or late winter and forms large mats of foliage. The flowers as well as the parts above ground are edible raw or cooked. It has some wonderful medicinal properties and is a rich source of many vitamins and minerals. It is a pest of economic consideration, causing heavy damage to wheat crop.
